The Port of San Diego Bay Parade of Lights has been a holiday tradition in San Diego for 38 years.
Close to 100,000 people come to see this free celebration which kicks off with fireworks and continues with a water parade of more than 100 boats decorated for the holidays.
Competitions are held for creative lighting, crowd pleasing, and other categories.
Admission is free; the event takes place on the waterfront between Shelter Island and Coronado Island.
